Nothing upfront, and nothing at all if we recover nothing. We take an agreed share of what we actually get back, written down before we start.
If a royalty-recovery company won't tell you their rate before you sign, treat that as information about them.
It's one of the commonest reasons money goes unclaimed, and it's fixable. If a use has already happened we'll look at whether it can still be claimed. That depends on the country and how long ago it was.
Either way the bigger win is usually getting you registered properly, so future uses pay out without anyone chasing. Over a few years that tends to beat any single back claim.
No. We're not a publisher and we're not replacing your society membership. We work alongside whatever you've already got.
If you're signed, check your agreement first. Some publishing deals already cover this kind of recovery, in which case you don't need us. We'd rather tell you that than charge you for work someone else already owes you.
Then you owe us nothing, and we'll say so rather than keeping you on a list and going quiet. Finding nothing now doesn't mean nothing later, though. Coverage grows country by country, and if your catalogue is with us we keep checking as it does.
Fair question, and you should ask it of anyone who contacts you about money you didn't know you were owed.
We never ask for payment upfront. We never ask for your society login. We tell you our rate before you commit, and we'll show you exactly where a claim came from and which society is holding it, so you can check it against your own account.
We're also two named people you can look up rather than a trading name.
We're building coverage one country at a time instead of claiming to cover everywhere. Germany works now. Poland is next, then the UK and the rest of Europe.

Longer than anyone would like. Societies work on distribution cycles measured in months, and a claim gets assessed before anything is paid. We'll tell you what stage yours is at and what it's waiting on. Anyone promising fast money in this business isn't being straight with you.
A list of your works with the writers on each, plus any identifiers you have. ISWC, ISRC, society work numbers. A spreadsheet is fine.
If you haven't got anything that tidy, that's normal. Send what you have and we'll work from there.
