What we collect, and why.
Short version: the contact form, and nothing else. We don't track you around the internet and we don't sell anything to anyone.
What we collect
If you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, what you told us you write or represent, and your message. We also record your browser and the page you came from, which we use to filter out automated spam.
If you have an account, we hold the email address you signed in with and the catalogue information you or we entered.
No advertising trackers, no analytics profiling, no third party marketing cookies. The only cookie this site sets is the one that keeps you signed in if you have an account.
Why we hold it
To reply to you, and to do the work you asked us to do. Under UK GDPR our lawful basis is legitimate interest for answering an enquiry, and contract where we act for you.
We don’t add you to a mailing list because you contacted us, and we don’t pass your details to anyone for their own purposes.
Where it lives
The website runs on Vercel. The database is hosted by Supabase in the European Union. Both are contracted processors acting on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead anywhere get deleted within two years. If we work together we keep records for as long as we act for you and six years afterwards, which is what we may need them for on tax and legal grounds.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@soundtracker.co.uk and we’ll respond within a month.
If you’re not happy with how we handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data we’ll update this page. Last updated 6 August 2026.
